Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba (ANJP) is a Malaysia-based law firm founded in 1975 by Dato C.V. Prabhakaran. Originally named Praba & Associates; the firm rebranded in January 2019 to Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba upon its expansion and welcoming in more partners.

Mr. Aznil was admitted to the Bar in June 2016. He began his career under the tutelage of Mr. Athimulan of Athimulan & Co, gaining experience in criminal and civil litigation including a significant role in the SPRM lawsuit against Dr. Mohd. Khir Toyo that went up to Federal Court. During his early years of practise he provided legal support to highly reputable Property Developers such as Hunza Properties Berhad showcasing his versatility.
Prior to co-founding Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba he played a key role at Messrs R. Shankar Gandhi & Associates, leading a branch office in Alor Setar, Kedah. He then, moved to Messrs Allen Chee Ram in Penang where he managed general litigation in civil and criminal areas, arguing notable cases such as PP v Tan Kai An before the Court of Appeal. His expertise covers housing development, construction, corporate law, and banking litigation.
In 2018, he co-founded Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba, specializing in general litigation, corporate law, dispute resolution and utility-based claims under the Electricity Supply Act 1990 and Water Services Industry Act 2006, representing Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Perbadanan Bekalan Air Pulau Pinang. Academically, he holds Bachelor & Master’s Degree in Law from University of Malaya and contributes as a part-time law lecturer. Mr. Aznil's career is marked by a commitment to legal practice and academia. Mr. Aznil is the Managing Partner of the main office in Butterworth heading the Litigation and Corporate Department.
Ms. Naziah was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in June 2016 upon completing her pupillage under Dr. N. Ahilan of N. Ahilan & Associates focusing on civil practices, especially medical negligence, contractual and matrimonial cases. She then embarked on her legal practise at M/s Hassan Subra & Associates where she headed the litigation department handling a broad range of legal matters including Land Acquisition, Divorce and Matrimonial Disputes, Probate and Administration, Adoption, Estate Distribution, Breach of Contract, Sale of Goods, and Personal Injury cases. Notably, she successfully represented Penang residents in squatter-related disputes, collaborating with landowners, developers, and state housing authorities.
Upon co-founding Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba in 2018 Ms. Naziah expanded her expertise to conveyancing practise . She handles Sale & Purchase transactions both for sub-sale and new housing developments as well as Perfection of Transfer & Charge for few housing projects in Penang. Ms. Naziah, whose qualifications includes an Executive Certificate in Islamic Finance from INCEIF and Master’s Degree in Law from University of Malaya also oversees and handles Islamic and Conventional Financing & Facility Agreements for both business and housing loan. In addition to that, she also provides legal advices on Estate matters including preparation of will, Probate & Administration of Estates, Faraid, Hibah and estate planning, guiding clients through complex estate disputes and distribution matters.
On August 2024, Ms Naziah has been appointed as Commissioner for Oath besides being an Advocate & Solicitor. As the Managing Partner, Ms. Naziah's comprehensive legal knowledge and dedication to client service is an invaluable asset to the firm and currently heading the Conveyancing Department at Butterworth main office.
Ms. Julinder is a highly accomplished practitioner with a career spanning over two decades. Graduating from the University of London in 1997, she began her career as a Lecturer teaching Business Law at Olympia College Penang. In 2000, she completed her Malaysian Certificate of Legal Practice, transitioning from academia to legal practice. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001, starting as a Legal Assistant at M/s Chin Eng Adlina, then establishing her own practice, M/s Juli & Ameleena.
In 2019, Ms. Julinder joined Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba, bringing extensive expertise in Civil Litigation including Banking, Hire Purchase, Foreclosure, Probate, Land Matters, Divorce, Adoption, Distress Actions and more. She is also skilled in Conveyancing, handling various agreements and loan documentation. Her litigation prowess is evident in contested cases especially in private and public trust disputes, land matters, and defamation cases.
Ms. Julinder has conducted hearings at all levels, achieving notable victories including a Federal Court win in 2023. Her expertise in land matters are particularly significant in representing clients in negotiations with State Authorities and resolving complex land issues. In 2023, she was appointed as a Notary Public by the Attorney General of Malaysia.
Currently the Managing Partner at Messrs. Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba, Ms. Julinder manages General Litigation, Conveyancing, and Corporate portfolios in Georgetown branch. Her experience, dedication, and excellence make her a distinguished figure in the legal community.
Ms. Tinoshiny earned her Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) in Malaysia in 2014, marking the start of her legal career. She was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in December 2015 after a period of intensive training and mentorship under Mr. M. M. Athimulan at Athimulan & Co. where she also worked as Legal Assistant for eight years. Throughout her career she has demonstrated a comprehensive expertise across a wide range of legal disciplines.
Her legal journey includes significant involvement in landmark cases, notably the precedent-setting case of Vijayarao Sepermaniam v Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Awam Malaysia (2018) at the Federal Court, focusing on constitutional rights. Additionally, she played a key role in Ooi Siew Bee & Ors v Zhu Ge Kong Ming Sdn. Bhd. (2020) at the Court of Appeal, a case centered on registered trademarks. Her expertise is further highlighted in cases related to landowner rights under the Land Acquisition Act 1960, such as Ketua Pengarah Tanah dan Galian v Jugajorthy Visvanathan & Anor (2022).
Ms. Tinoshiny has extensive courtroom experience, conducting numerous hearings for leave applications at the Federal Court and appeal trials at both the Court of Appeal and Federal Court. Her legal acumen spans various branches of civil litigation, including Corporate Disputes, Company Shareholder and Director Disputes, Land Acquisition, Judicial Reviews, Income Tax Appeal Hearings, Commercial Contract Disputes, Medical Negligence, Probate and Estate Administration, Intellectual Property, Defamation, Divorce and Matrimonial Disputes, Hire Purchase, and Personal Injury Cases.
In December 2023, Ms. Tinoshiny joined Aznil Naziah Juli & Praba, marking her new journey as a firm partner where she oversees the Bandar Perda branch office managing the Civil and Corporate Litigation portfolio.
Ms Zaleha was admitted to the Malaysian Bar in April 2016. Throughout her pupillage, she was privileged to be placed under the guidance of her master, Datuk Hafarizam Harun where she played a pivotal role in the legal team representing the former Prime Minister of Malaysia, Datuk Seri Najib bin Abdul Razak. Under the mentorship of Datuk Wan Azmir, she discovered her passion for criminal defense. This passion led her to Messrs. KL Chee & Co., where she honed her expertise over seven years, focusing on criminal investigations, bail applications, mitigation, trials, and notably, habeas corpus and judicial review for preventive detention cases.
Her practice areas include and not limited to various offences under the Penal Code, Dangerous Drugs Act including LLPK & FOP, SOSMA and FIPA. She has appeared before all levels of the Malaysian judiciary and her appearances in court has also been reported in Law Journals and featured in numerous newspaper articles on Harian Metro, NST, Kosmo, Free Malaysia Today & Bernama. She has also been appointed as a Legal Advisor at SBJ Engineering Sdn Bhd, where she provides guidance on Construction and Corporate Law. In addition, she serves on the Jawatankuasa Syariah at Koperasi Dagang Emas, ensuring that all operations are in full compliance with Syariah principles.
